Yesterday, Paul Kanjorski tried to demonstrate his "coolness" by using Twitter to announce he will run for a 13th term. Today Barack Obama announced to the world his perception on how well the stimulus program is working. As you can imagine his take is self-serving.
If you read the article you will see his proclamations are being met head-on with more than just skepticism.
Obama's next move is to send his munions like Paul Kanjorski out into the "wilderness" to tell the world about the stimulus program. They will spread more deception upon the public thinking we are incapable of our own assessment.
Well, here is one way to tell how NEPA is fairing out. Go to this site and punch in your zipcode.
Some results worth noting. Amount of jobs for Wilkes Barre 8.43, Hazleton 5.92 and the county that handed Kanjorski his win last time- Lackawanna- 32. Bloomsburg came in at 21 and Stroudsburg 11.15. What a hell of a track record for Paul. Not even 70 jobs for his district, yet his commercial from November, 2008 stated he and Barack "would stand up for us". Beautiful, just beautiful.
What was the cost for those jobs? How much did you and I spend for those jobs? $66,077,863.00 or approximately $1 million per job. Wouldn't we have been better given each job recipient $1 million dollars to spend?

State of The Sleaze Address
The Post-Gazette published an editorial today titled "State of sleaze: Pennsylvania is ground zero for political scandal."
Saturday, March 28, 2009
Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
There's no more denying it: Pennsylvania is polluted by corruption.
Mitchell Rubin and Mike Veon are the latest in a rogues' gallery of tarnished state officials. Then there is Vince Fumo, the "Prince of Philadelphia," staring at up to 10 years in prison. And there are the 12 House officials and employees (including Mr. Veon) indicted last July in the bonus pay scandal, with possibly more to come.
There will be more to come if the state's back-scratching, nest-feathering political culture continues and lawmakers see reform only as a fleeting exercise in damage control. In that case, the turnpike should give its signs a little truth in advertising. Welcome to Pennsylvania: Corruption Ahead.
Maybe the Luzerne County Vacation Bureau can work on the same signs. Actually the untouched county is Lacakwanna but I suspect they won't stay off the radar for too long.

Mini-Stimulus Plan For Scranton Courtesy of Single Tax Office
Remember the $12 million "found" at the Scranton Single Tax Office. Forensic accoutants are happy to report that the money isn't dead. WNEP is carrying a story by Ryan Leckey, that "Twelve million dollars of taxpayer money has been sitting in an account for years and nearly half of it should have gone to communties years ago."
From 1999 to 2008 investigators from a Philadelphia accounting firm said money was mishandled, tax dollars weren't distributed correctly and it made a giant financial mess.
"We have already started, myself and my team, to make corrections when we knew that things needed to be changed, so we're changing it," explained city tax collector Marilyn Vitali Flynn. She took over from Ken McDowell last year when he was elected as the new Lackawanna County controller. "(We are) really working very diligently to makes sure that the people are being treated fairly and with respect and that they money due to them will be there."
The city, county, and school district will be seeing some of the money released in the coming weeks.

Monroe County Poll Worker Charged With Election Fraud
A poll worker in Monroe County, Sean Stevens, has been charged with election fraud. It is alleged that he reached into the polling booths to change votes to Barack Obama.
Stevens was a machine inspector for the 2008 presidential election. Court papers say Stevens reached over the back of voting machines to change votes, and encouraged people to vote for Barack Obama. Stevens said that's impossible.
"The machines are just too high. You cannot look over unless you strain to do so," he said.
Video from the Tunkhannock Township polling place on election day shows a platform behind the machines, where workers can easily reach the top and into the voting machines.
According to court papers, Stevens was a voting machine inspector for three other elections prior to this one. But in November 2008, election officials asked him to leave before the day was over, after voters started complaining about his actions.
In Novmeber, 2008 I traveled to Monroe County on election day. I learned a new term for cars, Zipcar. A Zipcar is something you rent on an hourly or daily basis. Zipcars were noticed at several polling places where up to five people would exit the car, vote, then leave. According to Zipcar.com here are the cities where one can rent a car.
Atlanta Philadelphia Seattle Boston Pittsburgh Toronto Chicago Portland Vancouver London San Francisco Washington DC New York/New Jersey
Help me out...do you see any Northeastern PA. city?
I personally observed "community organizers" showing the ballot to people and demonstrating where the straight Democratic button or lever was located. I could tell many people could not speak the language of the ballot.
It has long been rumored there was voter fraud in Monroe County after the November election. Uhhh...Lackawanna County...how's that fraud been working out up there??
