All around Pennsylvania

Pennsylvania is such a great state that I decided to start a blog where issues within its borders can be posted and discussed. I am not a native since I was born in Wilmington, DE. but the rich history of both states is part of my curiosity over the Constitution, the law, and politics. I am a firm believer in the foundation for our Consititution. Readings and writings of our forefathers describe a rich heritage of intuitive insight into the complex discussions that laid the groundwork for this great nation we call the United States of America. I truly believe that the transformation we see today in government was not what George, Thomas, and others envisioned but I am happy that their design has endured the tests put to it over the years. I am somewhat conservative in belief although there are liberal underetones that surface every once in a while. I have learned in my fifty plus years that there are conservative and progessive(hint liberal) issues that face each family on a daily basis. If we get caught up in labels as strictly liberal or conservative I believe we close our eyes to life's pure experiences.

When things are good they are not that good and when things are bad they are not that bad. Life is not about right or left it is about what is right or wrong. If we all believed in the same values, had the same religious upbringing, or the same ethnice background we would probably have one state.

America is unique in that we are a blend of those who came here before us. We are a blend of those of us here now. We will be a blend of those yet to come. America is not static for then it would be dead. America is about freedom. But with freedom comes temperment, lest we be beasts. I would like this blog to represent what America was, is, and will be in the future.

There is one value that transcends time and it is respect. The right to free speech means we must respect each other's speech. Free speech has its limits and no violation can go unnoticed. If respect the right to express our opinions then we do not have to foster radical right or left. Somewhere in that area called gray matter is common sense. If we use more of it we spend less energy wasting our time.

Feel free to contact me with any issue related to elections, government-federal, state, local, economy, health, jobs, immigration, social security, medicare, roads, highways, bridges, well you get the idea. If we discuss our problems we can work towards solutions. If we keep quiet we have lost the opportunity to commincate and communication is key to any relationship.
